About the role
As a Brand Strategist at Mesh & Myth, you will uncover the clarity behind a business and turn it into a strategic foundation that guides identity, messaging, design, and digital experience. This role is for someone who can think deeply, ask sharp questions, study audiences and competitors, define positioning, shape brand voice, and translate business goals into meaningful brand direction.
What you'll do
- Conduct brand discovery sessions, research conversations, and strategic workshops to understand the business, audience, market, and opportunity.
- Define brand foundations including vision, mission, purpose, values, positioning, differentiation, and strategic narrative.
- Research target audiences, customer personas, competitors, market trends, and category gaps to identify clear brand opportunities.
- Develop messaging frameworks, value propositions, communication pillars, tone of voice guidelines, and brand story directions.
- Collaborate with brand designers, UI/UX designers, web teams, content teams, and leadership to translate strategy into visual and digital execution.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Branding, Communications, Business, Design, Psychology, or a related field.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in brand strategy, marketing strategy, content strategy, creative strategy, business consulting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, audience research, competitor analysis, messaging, tone of voice, and market differentiation.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- A strategic thinker with strong research ability, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the confidence to work with founders, business owners, and creative teams.
Good to have
- Experience working in a branding studio, creative agency, digital agency, startup, SaaS company, or professional services environment.
- Understanding of website strategy, UX writing, customer journeys, landing pages, and conversion-focused messaging.
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Figma, FigJam, Miro, Google Workspace, Canva, or presentation platforms.
- Ability to contribute to naming, campaign concepts, content direction, pitch narratives, and client presentations.
- Exposure to industries such as technology, SaaS, professional services, recruitment, healthcare, education, logistics, real estate, or growing SMBs.
